Who We Are…
CrossMovement Dance Ministry exists to glorify God through the creativity of dance by worshipping God for who He is and for His great worth with all of our heart, mind, soul, and body. Dance is one response to God that we may use to express our gratefulness and love. Because we believe that God deserves our utmost, we are committed to instructing and teaching excellent dance technique and creative movement. Our focus is on bringing glory to God!

Katelyn Loflin
Dance Instructor
Katelyn Loflin has definitely had a passion for dance since a very young age. She began dance classes at the age of three and has been a part of Cross Movement for most of her life. Over the years, she has trained in many different styles of dance including ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, jazz, and hip hop. God has blessed her with opportunities to study dance, perform, compete, and teach at various different places. CMDM has always been her home and has had a tremendous impact on her life, not only through learning dance, but also helping her grow in her faith and form lifelong friendships.
When Kate is not dancing, she works at Footsteps Preschool, is a middle school youth leader at her church, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. If she finds any free time you will most likely catch her curled up with a book and a cup of coffee. One of Kate’s greatest joys is passing along her knowledge and passion for dance and seeing her students use this powerful art as a way to worship and bring glory to Jesus!
Kayla Miller
Dance Instructor
Kayla has danced with CrossMovement since she was 3 years old. In 2019, Kayla was invited to join the CMDM Ensemble and she has loved dancing with them since. She served as a Teaching Assistant beginning in 2017 and was privileged to begin lead teaching in 2020. Kayla is super excited about all of her classes this year, but especially excited to be teaching multiple tap classes, as tap is her favorite dance style. Kayla loves getting to share Jesus with others through dance and is excited for CMDM’s Summer 2021!!
Kayla will graduate in May from Foxcroft Academy (homeschool). In addition to dance, Kayla has been involved in musical theatre since the age of 5. She has been cast in 30+ shows in the Triad area and has served as dance captain and assisted with dance choreography in many of those shows. In Fall 2021, Kayla will attend Appalachian State University where she will pursue degrees in Theatre Education and Dance Studies.
Kylie Nifong
Dance Instructor
Kylie Nifong has been dancing with CrossMovement since she was 4 years old. She has a true gift and passion for Hip Hop dance. Kylie has taken Hip Hop dance classes at UNC Charlotte, and will be pursuing a degree in Speech Language Pathology. Kylie has always loved expressing her emotions through art. As she has grown in her walk with Jesus, she truly began to express her love for Jesus through worshipping Him in dance. Dance has given her an outlet to encourage others to do the same. Her love for Jesus shines through each time she dances.

Julie Beck
Dance Instructor
Julie Beck has been a part of Cross Movement for two years. She has helped with lights and behind the scenes action since She was little, but felt called to be on stage. Julie fell in love with worshipping God through dance. She’s currently going to school for clinical psychology and a minor in dance. Julie feels that Worshipping God through dance has opened her eyes to the love our Lord has for each of us. Psalms 30:11 says it perfectly: “you have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.”
